Who doesn’t love a good Farmers Market?! Farmers Markets have become more popular in San Antonio over the past few years. Whether you’re looking for fresh, local produce, hand made goods, or some specialty items you’ll find it at these local farmers markets. We’ve come up with a list of 12 local farmers markets in San Antonio that you won’t want to miss out on.

Farmers Markets Close to Downtown

The Pearl Farmers Market

The Pearl Farmers Market started in 2009. Pearl hosts a producers only farmers market. All Pearl Farmers Market vendors are located within 150 mile radius of San Antonio, Texas, providing fresh, local, and seasonal products that they themselves planted, raised, and harvested. Having local producers provide the goods you can buy affects what is offered at the market.

You can always find the market vendors on the West lot (parking lot in front of La Gloria) at the corner of Isleta and Grayson. The farmer’s market also offers complimentary parking in the Koehler Garage. Free cooking demo every Saturday starting at 9am and live, local music beginning at 10:30am.

Alamo Heights Farmers Market

The Alamo Heights Farmers Market is a year-round, rain or shine, producers only market set up at The Alamo Quarry Market in San Antonio, Texas. All the vendors are local. Grab your fresh produce, fermented foods, fresh pressed juices, natural skin care products, plants, dog treats, artisan chocolate, ready to eat foods, and more while enjoying Live Music every Sunday.

Chicho Boys Fruit Market

This isn’t a traditional farmers market, but the Chicho Boys Fruit Market is still very worth mentioning. Established in 1995, Chicho Boys is San Antonio’s premier market for local, fresh, & affordable produce. They offer weekly specials on their fruit and produce. Farmers Markets on the Northside of San Antonio

Huebner Farmers Market

Located in the parking lot of Huebner Oaks shopping center, near Chipotle, the Huebner Farmers Market isn’t a huge market, but not small either. Huebner Oaks Farmers Market is pet friendly and conveniently located. There is a nice variety of vendors and food trucks. The market is fun for all!

Legacy Farmers Market

The Legacy Farmers Market offers local produce, fresh eggs, meats, and local handmade products. This one is a smaller market for those who don’t like to deal with tons of crowds. It is located in the parking lot of the YMCA.

San Antonio Food Bank Farmers Market

On the first Saturday of every month the San Antonio Food Bank Farmers Markets offer a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, many grown at the San Antonio Food Bank farms. The Food Bank works with strategic partners and community centers to provide access to fresh produce and ensure a quality shopping experience in areas where produce may not be readily available.

These Farmers Markets are done throughout the area. If the one below isn’t closest to you, check out their website for another area that maybe closer to you.

Helotes Market Place

Helotes Market Place are the first Saturday of every month in Downtown Helotes. This arts and crafts fair features vendors from across the area who offer unique treasures for shoppers in the heart of the City.

Visitors will enjoy food and specialty shopping at this outdoor market. You’ll also want to visit our local shops in the area for even more great finds, including jewelry, boutique clothing, home décor, antiques, and food. Enjoy the many local shops, while shopping the quaint antique and local small shops of Downtown Helotes.

Bandera Pointe Artisan Market

Bandera Pointe Artisan Market is a veteran & women owned small business. We are open year round every weekend of the year plus one night market a month.  Grab your, fresh produce, honey, eggs, artisan breads, German baked goods, jams, jelly’s and much more!

Farmers Markets Surrounding San Antonio

New Braunfels Farmers Market

New Braunfels Farmers Market was established in 2010 with 30 vendors. Today it has grown into a lively market with 70 vendors offering everything from locally grown produce to handcrafted wares.

With more than 10 farmers and ranchers, you can stock your kitchen with pasture-raised meats, and fresh produce. They have chicken, beef, pork, and seasonal produce. You can also check out our local artisans for unique pantry foods, household items, health and skin care, and gifts.

Cibolo Grange Farmer’s & Artisan’s Market

Established in 2014. The Cibolo Grange Farmers & Artisans market is the fastest growing farmers market in the greater San Antonio area! Come on out and visit the market on Thursday afternoons from 3-7pm. They are open February through mid-December, with the Holidays and January off.

This farmers market has fresh produce Cage-free, organic chicken & duck eggs Organic meat (beef, chicken). As well as locally produced gourmet foods, all-natural pet food, micro-greens, personal care items, and homemade crafts.
